Melissa Hopkins began her career in the public sector. In one of her public sector positions, Melissa herself became a plaintiff in a wrongful termination, federal whistleblower, and disability discrimination claim. She worked with an incredible plaintiff's attorney who helped her not only resolve her case, but provide the path forward to help others in similar situations. Melissa focuses her practice on employment law, civil rights, she also assists the firm with catastrophic injury and medical malpractice cases.
Melissa obtained her law degree from the University of Oregon in 2018, her Master in Public Administration from Seattle University in 2010, and her Bachelor of Arts in History and Politics & Government from the University of Puget Sound in 2004.
Melissa was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 2019. She is admitted to practice in the State of Oregon and the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon. Melissa is an active member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers' Association, the Multnomah Bar Association, and the Oregon State Bar Association New Lawyer's Division.
Melissa is originally from Washington relocating to Portland area several years ago. She enjoys spending her free time with her partner Naimish and her extended family nearby. Melissa is an active volunteer with the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Oregon and Southwest Washington regularly speaking at area medical and nursing schools.
